EquiMobility Program

In person

1. Get proof of eligibility from the City of Québec.
2. Bring it to an RTC service counter to get your EquiMobility OPUS card and take advantage of the reduced fare.
3. Your card will be prepared onsite at no cost. It will be an OPUS photo ID card and will be valid for 24 months. You can only use it to buy monthly passes and single-fare tickets. They’re available at all our points of sale.

 

By mail

You can also request proof of eligibility and your EquiMobility OPUS card by mail. To do so, you must include a photo of yourself with your application for eligibility and mail it to the City. To find out how to apply by mail, go to the City of Québec website (in French only).

If you have any questions on how to get your EquiMobility OPUS card, call 418-627-2511 and select option 1.

Please note:

• EquiMobility tickets are not available on other rechargeable OPUS cards (General, 65+, 18+, and Student+) or Occasional cards.
• EquiMobility rates do not apply if you pay your fare in cash (STAC and RTC).

If you qualify for STAC

• You do not need to get proof of eligibility from the City.
• You must get an OPUS-STAC card. This card is proof of your STAC eligibility and allows you to purchase EquiMobility tickets.

If you’re using a General monthly pass (with or without L’abonne BUS), it could pay to switch to EquiMobility.

If you’re using a 65+, 18 and under, Student+ monthly pass (with or without L’abonne BUS), University Student Pass (LPU), or Semester Pass, EquiMobility might not be the best option for you. You’re better off keeping your current pass.

If you’re 65 and over, 18 and under, or a student and you pay your bus fare with tickets, EquiMobility might be a good option for you.
