Monthly pass

  • This pass is valid from the first to the last day of the month and gives you an unlimited number of rides during that period.
  • It is loaded on an OPUS card , which you must first purchase.
  • Monthly passes are sold starting on the 20th day of each month.
  • Available with L'abonne BUS Travailleur, Perso and Student.

Unlimited evenings and weekends

  • This pass is only offered to the 18 years old and under.
  • Valid from the first to the last day of the month.
  • This pass gives you an unlimited number of rides during weekdays starting at 5:30 p.m.and all day Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
  • It is loaded on an OPUS card , which you must first purchase.
  • Monthly passes are sold starting on the 20th day of each month.
  • Not available with L'abonne BUS

Off peak 65+

  • This pass is only offered to the 65 years old and over.
  • This pass is valid from the first to the last day of the month,
  • This pass gives you an unlimited number of rides during weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and after 5:30 p.m and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
  • It is loaded on an OPUS card , which you must first purchase.
  • Monthly passes are sold starting on the 20th day of each month.
  • Available with L'abonne BUS Travailleur, Perso and Student.

Metropolitan pass

  • This pass is valid from the first to the last day of the month and gives you an unlimited number of rides during that period on the following networks:
    RTC, Société de transport de Lévis, Transport Collectif de La Jacques-Cartier and PLUMobile.
    - To board RTC and Société de Transport de Lévis buses, use the OPUS card on which your Metropolitan pass has been loaded.
    - To board Transport Collectif de La Jacques-Cartier and PLUMobile buses, use the card you are issued when you purchase your pass.
  • L'abonne BUS is not available for Transport Collectif de la Jacques-Cartier or PLUMobile (Côte-de-Beaupré and l’Île d’Orléans) services.
  • Monthly passes are sold starting on the 20th day of each month.

5 consecutive days

  • This pass lets you ride as often as you want on all routes  for 5 consecutive days.
  • You buy and activate it whenever you want... Tuesday, Saturday or any other day of the week!
  • Valid from the first time it is used to board a bus (validation) until 11:59 p.m. of the 5th day.
  • E.g., if you use the pass for the first time on Tuesday, July 12, it will be valid from July 12 until July 16 11:59 p.m. inclusively.

Unlimited weekends

  • This pass lets you ride as often as you want on all routes from 5:30 p.m. on Friday until the last bus on Sunday. 
  • It is only available on an Occasional card.

1-day pass

  • This pass is valid for unlimited transportation on all RTC routes.
  • Valid 24 hours or until 4 a.m. the next calendar day, whichever comes first.
    Examples:
    -You buy it on June 5 and use it for the bus on June 10 at noon. It expires June 11 at 4 a.m.
    -You buy it on June 5 and use it for the bus on June 10 at 11:30 p.m. It expires June 11 at 4 a.m.
    -You buy it on June 5 and use it for the bus on June 11 at 1 a.m. It expires June 12 at 1 a.m.
  • It is only available on an Occasional card.

Tickets on OPUS or Occasional cards

Less expensive than paying with cash!

When you use a ticket (single fare) on an OPUS or Occasional card , you automatically get a transfer fare valid for 90 minutes.
There are two categories of tickets:

Tickets on an OPUS card are sold in lots of 2 up to a maximum of 24. Tickets on an Occasional card are sold in lots of 2, 4, 8, or 12.

As of January 1, 2013, paper tickets are no longer accepted. No refunds.

Please use exact change because drivers do not sell tickets and cannot provide change. Ask your driver for a transfer. Find out more about transfers.

Special passes

FestiBUS

Enjoy the Québec City Summer Festival to the fullest! 

  • Unlimited FestiBUS ($31): Lets you ride as often as you want on all routes during the Québec City Summer Festival. Can be used by only one person at a time. 
  • FestiBUS – 10 rides ($22): Good for 10 trips starting at 10 a.m. during the Québec City Summer Festival. Valid for one 90-minute transfer on each trip.

FestiBUS can be loaded on OPUS or Occasional card.

Community tickets

Community tickets are smart cards holding two General fare tickets. They are sold to non-profit health and social services organizations to give to their clients as courtesy gifts.
  • Minimum purchase per order: 50 smart cards holding 2 tickets (100 tickets in all) 
  • Preparation time: 7 business days 
  • Pickup: RTC head office, 720 rue des Rocailles, Quebec City, Quebec
  • Payment: upon receipt of order, by business cheque in the organization’s name, credit card, debit card or cash.

Business tickets

Business and organizations can contact us to purchase tickets in large quantities.

  • Sales of Occasional cards with 2 General fare tickets
  • Minimum purchase per order: 50 smart cards holding 2 tickets (100 tickets in all)
  • Preparation time: 7 business days
  • Pickup: RTC head office, 720 rue des Rocailles, Quebec City, Quebec
  • Payment: upon receipt of order, by business cheque in the company’s name, credit card, debit card or cash.

Group ticket

Group tickets allow a group of children to travel on the RTC network with an adult chaperone.

  • Maximum of 10 children age 6 to 11 per adult.
  • $25,00 one-way – 10 children and one adult.
  • 1 group ticket = 1 one way only (for a round-trip, you need to buy 2 group tickets).
  • The adult must inform the driver that it is a group ticket

Event pass

Event passes were created for conference attendees and event participants and are sold exclusively to event organizers.

  • They entitle the bearer to an unlimited number of rides on the RTC network for the duration of the event (2-day minimum)
  • Minimum purchase of 75 passes

Attendant pass

Attendant passes are issued to a disabled person or person with reduced mobility who cannot use RTC services without the assistance of another person (attendant). 

  • The person being assisted must pay, but the attendant rides free.
  • Persons wishing to obtain these passes can talk to their specialists, who will send a written request to RTC Customer Service:
    serviceclient@rtcquebec.ca OR 720, rue des Rocailles, Québec, G2J 1A5.  
  • Requests must include a color photo of the accompanied person on a white background .
  • These passes are valid for three years. They cannot be transferred to anyone other than the person accompanied and they must always be presented to the driver when boarding.

Instructor pass

These passes are issued to a resource person who aids disabled people or people with reduced mobility in using RTC services. 

  • They allow the instructor and up to five students to ride the RTC for free. 
  • The organization (e.g., school, institution) must send a request in writing to RTC Customer Service:
    serviceclient@rtcquebec.ca OR 720, rue des Rocailles, Québec, G2J 1A5.
  • Requests must include a color photo on a white background of the person who will act as instructor. 
  • These passes are valid for 1 year. They cannot be transferred to anyone and they must always be presented to the driver when boarding.
